Website design, UX and UI for Animateca, a database dedicated to Portuguese animated film, developed by Casa da Animação. The project involved structuring a complex body of content, connecting films, authors, and production contexts into a coherent and navigable system.
The visual identity and logo were developed in continuity with Casa da Animação’s existing identity, adapting its graphic language to a digital context. The interface was designed to support exploration and cross-referencing, allowing users to move between works, filmmakers, and production companies through multiple entry points. Rather than a static repository, the platform functions as a living reference for anyone working with or passionate about Portuguese animation, from festival programmers and filmmakers to students and fans.
Animateca is part of the project “Casa em Movimento”, which is supported by the Portuguese Republic – Ministry of Culture, through the program Garantir Cultura.
