Identity and exhibition materials for “Alcino Soutinho – Realismo Confortável” (Comfortable Realism), a retrospective of the notable Portuguese architect’s work at Galeria Fundação EDP, Porto, Portugal.
Alcino Soutinho (1930–2013) was one of the key figures of the Porto School, alongside Álvaro Siza and Eduardo Souto de Moura. Over five decades, he built a body of work defined by structural rigor, material honesty, and a rare ability to balance sobriety with cultural depth. He died in 2013, and this was the first major retrospective dedicated to his work.

Beyond the retrospective, Soutinho was also a prolific draughtsman, “De Lápis Na Mão” (With A Pencil In The Hand) was a companion exhibition dedicated exclusively to that side of his practice: paintings, drawings, sketches, and prints spanning sixty years. Identity and outdoor signage were designed for it as well.
